College basketball is shifting into high gear with College football heading into a brief hibernation until the Bowl season kicks in. On Saturday, North Carolina, coming off a beating by Illinois, defeated Kentucky. The score was close but the team with the fewest points at the end loses, unless you are playing golf. They weren’t.

Helen Thomas, the ninety year old journalist who got in political hot water previously for her comments about Jews is at it again. Wayne State University has pulled the plug on an award named for her given for diversity due to her comments Thursday. .Right or wrong, she just won’t shut up.
