Labor Day FUN

SEPTEMBER 6, 2010

HAPPY LABOR DAY, 2010

Over one million men and women in our military have now served in Iraq or Afghanistan since these wars of chose were chosen by the American leaders to start. Think of the money we would not have spent on the seven plus years of war and the bridges, roads and schools we could have built with that money and man-power.

The Daily Chronicle ran a story a few days ago saying they were gearing up for the election season They are going to pay attention to the campaign for DeKalb County State’s Attorney and the potential conflicts that could arise if the Democratic candidate is elected and her father is elected to a Judgeship he is running for. A day or two before the story ran, Clay Campbell, the Republican candidate for DeKalb County State’s Attorney, had a letter to the editor printed in the same paper bringing up that very issue. Good job Mr. Campbell and the Daily Chronicle. This is an important issue that could cost the county thousands of dollars for travel time, gas, over time and potentially lost revenue. It could force the State’s Attorney to hire additional staff. This is worth investigating and reporting. I will be watching.
